Kyva is a solid defender. She communicates well in either staying with her player or switching to stay locked on ball. Her slides and 1v1 defense are unmatched. She marks tight on cutters and jams them by getting in their hands disrupting their play. She hustles to all 50/50 ground balls and is constantly moving and being involved all over the defensive end. She will continue to work on breaking down her steps with footwork to be ready to change speed and direction with the shiftiest defenders. Her ability to help in the clears is superb and is quick to recognize when to drop and hustle back into the defensive end.
