Lauren has great body positioning and footwork as a defender and it allows her to make plays over and over. She knows where to direct opposing attackers and does a great job of deterring them from going anywhere other than where she wants them to go. She lands beautiful back checks and is able to pick up the loose ball and beautifully transition it down the field with some pretty stickwork. When she gets the ball down the field, there is a good chance she could be the one scoring as well. If she continues to work on her speed, she could be a great defensive or even two-way midfielder in college.
