Owen is a physical defenseman with good stick work and accurate checks. I think he might be better suited as an LSM, he has the athleticism for it and likes taking the ball to the net in transition. He walks a fine line between going too hard for takeaway checks and throwing accurate pokes and slaps that do take the ball away. I think Owen needs to focus on his footwork and working harder to keep his man away from the middle of the field and taking a "less is more" approach to his stick checks.
