Gianna is a tenacious defender with the physicality and stick skills to disrupt opponents at every turn. She excels in 1v1 situations, using both her body and stick to shut down attacks, and is quick to capitalize on turnovers, smoothly transitioning the ball down the field. Her relentless defensive pressure forces attackers to adjust, and she’s not afraid to apply that pressure deep into the offensive zone to disrupt their flow. With her speed and strong decision-making, I’d love to see Gianna add even more transition offense to her game, as she has the potential to create scoring opportunities for herself. That added dimension could make her an even more valuable asset to college programs looking for a two-way player.
