Griffin has very quick hands and does a good job of anticipating the whistle. He is usually first on the clamp, and has creative and varied exits with the ball. He is also tough on the counter, doing a good job of grinding and making it a scrum if he doesn't win the initial clamp. He is athletic, but looks a little uncomfortable with the ball in his stick which should be a point of emphasis for him as he develops.
