Carson is a very instinctual goalie, and does a great job of matching stick angle on shots in tight. He regularly robs shooters who might think they have a fake and finish opportunity. Carson also throws good outlet passes, and is always looking up and out on clears to get the ball moving in transition. He gives up a lot of rebounds and gets himself in trouble sometimes by being almost too active with his feet, but he is a solid ball stopper.
